BGQ-1816: Systems Engineer (Huntsville, AL)

deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer in Huntsville, AL.

Position Description:
deciBel Research is seeking a Systems Engineer with strong Model-Based knowledge to provide the customer with systems engineering support toward weapon system acquisition. Will be responsible for system architecture including maintaining specification/requirement traceability. Must be skilled in the use of System Modeling Language (SysML) and Unified Modeling Language (UML) work products.  Additional duties include supporting the establishment of verification methods, providing feedback during CDRL review, use/creation of tools and processes to assess system performance, developing and reviewing requirements, specification and requirement decomposition, modifying and creating new requirement traces, and providing requirement verification insight during implementation and test activities. Must be able to document systems engineering processes and practices. Should also have knowledge or familiarity with general systems engineering processes and methodologies.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related technical field.

Experience Requirements:
The successful candidate will have 6 - 10+ years of relevant experience. Advanced degrees may be used in lieu of experience. Must possess a strong knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering.  Experience with SysML tools such as MagicDraw, Rhapsody, and DOORS and/or other Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) modeling tools.    

Special Skills Desired:
Previous experience with THAAD, MEADS, C2MBC, MML, GMD, IBCS, PATRIOT and/or other air defense systems or Missile Defense Agency.

deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Software Engineer in Dayton, OH.

Position Description:
deciBel Research is seeking an experienced Software Engineer that will provide support at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright-Patterson AFB. Responsibilities include software development and implementation within intelligence programs. Will work as part of a technical team to support Defense and Intelligence programs. Will participate in the design, development, deployment and implementation of software products along with experiencing all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field.

Experience Requirements:
The successful candidate must possess 1-5 years of professional experience. Must have strong software engineering background including experience with: C#, .NET, Java, Web Services, XML, UML, C++. Experience working for the Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community. Experience with Object-Oriented Programming skills with modern development languages and concepts. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills. Experience with all phases of the software development life-cycle. Familiarity in SOA technology, web services, 3D computer graphics, visualization technologies, modeling and simulation, image processing, database and/or geospatial technologies.

deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Signal Processing Engineer/Scientist in Dayton, OH.

Position Description:
deciBel Research is seeking an experienced Signal Processing Engineer/Scientist that will provide support at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright-Patterson AFB. Responsibilities include data processing, analysis, and developing algorithm enhancements. Must have experience in signal processing and sensor data exploitation. Will work as a part of a team of engineers and scientists developing advanced signal processing solutions for variety of RF sensing systems. Will research, design, development, and implementation of new algorithms. Will perform simulation, data and signal analysis. Will support transition of algorithms from scientific development tools such as MATLAB to real time software environments such as C++ or Python.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science or Engineering.

Experience Requirements:
The successful candidate must possess demonstrated knowledge of radar/signal processing, exploitation, and dissemination (PED). Strong Python or MATLAB skills are required. Must also possess strong technical writing and briefing skills. Must possess excellent knowledge of Digital Signal Processing, detection and estimation theory. Must possess proficiency in MATLAB and software development experience. Must also be highly motivated and willing to learn new concepts.

Position Description:
deciBel Research is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer that will provide direct support to the customer by working with agency processes to support, maintain, and upgrade operational elements within the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Will solve system level challenges across multiple teams, derive and organize work tasks for software development teams, support the assessment, maintenance, upgrade, and testing of tools and processes that are both currently used within the environment and those being developed and tested for later inclusion and contribute to developing products for redesigning and/or improving existing processes.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science or Engineering.

Experience Requirements:
The successful candidate must possess at least 3 years of experience in systems engineering, software development, or systems integration. Must be self-directed and capable of collecting and analyzing data and rendering recommendations. Must also possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with the Atlassian suite, specifically JIRA and Confluence. Experience working with the Department of Defense Architecture Framework. Understanding of testing methodologies and International Software Testing Qualifications Board syllabus concepts.

Position Description:
deciBel Research is seeking a mid-level Systems Engineer that will work in a team of engineers, software developers, and radar analysts to design and develop a requirements and system architecture design for BMDS. Will support the systems engineering lifecycle efforts in the development of M&S capabilities for BMDS. Will support the establishment of analysis methods, tools, and processes to assess system performance. Will support radar simulation test procedure development, test scenario development, data management and analysis tasks.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in a related technical field.

Experience Requirements:
The successful candidate must possess 4+ years in progressively complex systems engineering for missile defense systems (required). Experience with weapon system radar requirements development and verification, system simulation, test, and implementation. Excellent communication skills are desired. BGI-1805: Software Engineer (Colorado Springs, CO)

deciBel Research has an immediate opening for an experienced Software Engineer in Colorado Springs, CO.

Position Description:
deciBel Research is seeking a Software Engineer to support the research, design, development, integration, and test software components to support non-real-time simulation events. Will work with a team of engineers and analysts in the architecture, design, implementation and maintenance of a suite of sensor models, used for element and system level analysis, and for verification and validation of models and simulations. Will coordinate element and system-level performance parameters across multiple organizations within MDA and provide analysis and quick-turn software support for multiple events including performance assessments, digital simulation events, system development, risk reduction, ground and flight tests, and mission planning.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Experience Requirements:
The successful candidate must possess at least 8 years of relevant experience. Must be proficient in C++ on a UNIX or Linux platform. Must be experienced in all phases of software development, proficient in object-oriented software development methodologies. Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment, possess strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Must also have a strong background in math and physics, and able to assume a leadership role on complex tasks. Knowledge/experience in several of the following: missile defense domain, GPU Programming, CUDA, Open CL, Java, MySQL, modeling and simulation, or parallel computing.
