deciBel Research has an immediate opening for an experienced Software Engineer in Dayton, OH.

Position Description:
deciBel Research is seeking an experienced Software Engineer that will support a variety of programs at Wright-Patterson AFB. The Software Engineer will participate in the design, development, deployment and implementation of software products along with experiencing all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.

Experience Requirements:
The successful candidate must possess at least three years of web-based software development experience, including design, coding and testing. Must also possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Special Skills Desired:
Knowledge for UI specific unit testing frameworks with hands on experience is prefered. Familiarity with Java, C++, WebGL Docker and Apache Meso, Javascript, relational and No-SQL databases, REST/SOAP Web Services, Leaflet.js, node.js, angular.js, d3.js and related JS frameworks and libraries is desired. TS preferred.

BGI-1806: Systems Engineer (Colorado Springs, CO)

deciBel Research has an immediate opening for an experienced Systems Engineer in Colorado Springs, CO.

Position Description:
deciBel Research is seeking a mid-level Systems Engineer that will work in a team of engineers, software developers, and radar analysts to design and develop a requirements and system architecture design for BMDS. Will support the systems engineering lifecycle efforts in the development of M&S capabilities for BMDS. Will support the establishment of analysis methods, tools, and processes to assess system performance. Will support radar simulation test procedure development, test scenario development, data management and analysis tasks.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in a related technical field.

Experience Requirements:
The successful candidate must possess 4+ years in progressively complex systems engineering for missile defense systems (required). Experience with weapon system radar requirements development and verification, system simulation, test, and implementation. Excellent communication skills are desired. Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) system simulation experience. Working knowledge of System Modeling Language (SysML) and Unified Modeling Language (UML) system and software engineering work products.

BGI-1805: Software Engineer (Colorado Springs, CO)

deciBel Research has an immediate opening for an experienced Software Engineer in Colorado Springs, CO.

Position Description:
deciBel Research is seeking a Software Engineer to support the research, design, development, integration, and test software components to support non-real-time simulation events. Will work with a team of engineers and analysts in the architecture, design, implementation and maintenance of a suite of sensor models, used for element and system level analysis, and for verification and validation of models and simulations. Will coordinate element and system-level performance parameters across multiple organizations within MDA and provide analysis and quick-turn software support for multiple events including performance assessments, digital simulation events, system development, risk reduction, ground and flight tests, and mission planning.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Experience Requirements:
The successful candidate must possess at least 8 years of relevant experience. Must be proficient in C++ on a UNIX or Linux platform. Must be experienced in all phases of software development, proficient in object-oriented software development methodologies. Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment, possess strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Must also have a strong background in math and physics, and able to assume a leadership role on complex tasks. Knowledge/experience in several of the following: missile defense domain, GPU Programming, CUDA, Open CL, Java, MySQL, modeling and simulation, or parallel computing.

deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a part-time Payroll Administrator in Huntsville, AL.

Position Description:
deciBel Research, Inc. is seeking an experienced part-time Payroll Administrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll and compiling payroll data to maintain accurate payroll records. Processes employee status changes, processes and analyzes payroll and employee expenses. Reconciles general ledger accounts and creates on-going month-end, quarterly, and year-end organization reports. Audits payroll information for accuracy. Reconciles payroll deposits, tax withholdings, wage garnishments, and voluntary deductions.  Participates in problem solving and special projects within the Payroll Department. Prepares responses to notices from government agencies regarding employee tax filings. Ensures that payroll-related transactions are processed in compliance with external and internal policies. Performs actions necessary to track and determine regular pay, overtime pay and bonuses. Processes Federal and State tax and social security withholdings, insurance, benefits, 401(k) contributions, and company match. Reconciles errors and maintains payroll records. Reviews and processes payroll adjustments, including vacation, sick, and other time off. Processes garnishments, child support orders, tax levies, quarterly tax verifications, and worker compensation reports. Performs year end responsibilities to include W-2 verification and distribution. Fields and responds to payroll inquiries and resolves discrepancies as required. Maintains knowledge of rules and laws which govern the payroll administration practices. Works with Human Resources during New Hire Orientation. Sets up new employees and accounting system and conducts payroll orientation on day of hire. Other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements: Associate Degree in Business Administration/Finance required, Accounting Degree preferred.

Experience Requirements:
The successful candidate will have 3+ years in a payroll office performing all payroll functions. Experience using ADP Payroll. Strong skills using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated payroll accounting system. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion. Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure. Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.

Special Skills Desired:
Experience using Unanet timekeeping system.

May ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and electronic information and infrastructure. May respond to computer security breaches and viruses. Will be expected to confer with users and system owners to discuss issues such as computer system operational needs, RMF security controls, security control implementation, and programmatic changes; document computer security policies, procedures, and test reports related to system authorization and test events; train users and promote security awareness to ensure system security for testing and deployment of systems; coordinate implementation of computer system plans with establishment personnel and outside vendors; conduct cybersecurity vulnerability assessment scans to ensure security controls are implemented; coordinate and support penetration testing events for RMF assessments, defensive and offensive penetration testing events.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, Math or Physics.

Experience Requirements:
The successful candidate will possess at least 5 years of professional experience in Information Assurance. Minimum of DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification is required. Knowledge of RMF process, and vulnerability scanning tools.

Position Description:

deciBel Research is seeking an Information Assurance Analyst that has the ability to take complex information and break it down into simple ideas and concepts. Should understand the ideas behind Cybersecurity and know how to implement them, as well as explain these ideas and concepts to a large group.  Additional expectations include the ability to confer with users to discuss issues such as computer data access needs, security violations, and programming changes; ability to scan systems and networks using Cybersecurity approved tools; and the ability to train users and promote security awareness to ensure system security and to improve server and network efficiency.  The areas of instruction will be focused on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Cisco IOS as well as Army Regulation 25-2, RMF and the currently being phased out DIACAP Process. Willingness to travel approximately 25%.  

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in related discipline such as Aerospace, Mathematics, Physics, Software Engineering or Computer Science.  Master's degree is preferred.

Experience Requirements:
The successful candidate will possess 6-10 years of professional experience in Information Assurance. Will also have extensive experience with RHEL and Windows and be able to trouble shoot any issues that may occur. Must also possess solid systems administration skills (UNIX/Linux).  Must be able to present to a large group and be professional at all times. Able to handle rapid changes and a stressful environment that will not affect quick decision making in order to keep mission focus. Security+ Certification is also required.

Special Skills Desired:
CISSP or similar certification is desirable. A high degree of self-initiative and willingness to work with multiple entities throughout the organization, with the ability to think fast and improvise on the spot and adapt to change quickly. Prior Military experience is also a plus.

deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Senior Software Integration and Test Engineer in Huntsville, AL.

Position Description:
deciBel Research is seeking a Senior Software Integration and Test Engineer to participate in all major system and software development reviews in order to understand the requirements and develop a traceability matrix from the top down. Responsibilities include developing and executing test procedures, tracking issues and findings, reviewing software test documentation, developing independent software tests, and witnessing acceptance testing being conducted by the prime developer. To adequately perform software testing, the team member must be able to review requirements and make sure that they are clear, concise, and testable. Additional duties include; develop System of Systems (SoS) Test Procedures / Cases, execute System of Systems (SoS) Test Procedures / Cases, document and record ITSs from test events, develop Test Plans, provide Input for IV Scorecard (Objectives), represent the program software as the activity owner designee during IV events, manage the defect reporting database (ex. FRACAS), track Software Problem Reports (SPRs) that are verified in each IV event, and conduct gap analysis on system performance requirements to ensure product is complete.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or a related field.

Experience Requirements:
The successful candidate will have at least 8 years of relevant experience. Advanced degrees can be used in lieu of experience, e.g., MS plus ten (6) years of experience; or a PhD with eight (4) years. Software testing and test plan development experience is required.

Special Skills Desired:
Familiarity with Linux operating systems.

deciBel Research is seeking a Software Engineer that will contribute to creating military Android applications in Java for mobile devices. Will work with other developers, system engineers and quality control experts in a scrum/agile development environment.

Experience Requirements:
The successful candidate will have 2 to 10 years of relevant experience. Experience designing, developing and testing in Java, C# or C++ in a team environment. Must be able to take abstract tasks and complete them from start to finish.

Special Skills Desired:
Android experience is a plus. Experience writing interfaces to external sensors is helpful. Should also be able to identify tasks to help define the work including work estimates to complete.
