Position Description:
deciBel Research is seeking a Software Developer that will contribute to the development of an artificial intelligence knowledge based machine learning project, as well as productize and optimize other prototype algorithms. The project is a research-based initiative taking concepts through development to test and ultimately fielded into an integrated system. Will be a highly productive member of the team responsible for contributing to the software baseline on a daily basis.

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. Master’s Degree preferred.

Experience Requirements:
The successful candidate will possess at least 5+ years of related experience. Should possess demonstrated experience developing software in CPP, as well as knowledge of other languages such as FORTRAN and C. Experience with artificial intelligence and machine learning, Git/Git Lab or other version control software. Knowledge of agile development practices such as Scrum and continuous integration.  Must be able to take abstract tasks and complete them from start to finish. Must be able to take requirements and software concepts and development prototype code as well as production level software including test harnesses and documentation. Should also be able to identify tasks to help define the work, including work estimates to complete.

Position Description:
deciBel Research is seeking an Information Assurance/Cyber Analyst to plan, implement, upgrade, or monitor security measures for the protection of computer networks and information. May ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and vital electronic infrastructure. May respond to computer security breaches and viruses. Will be expected to confer with users to discuss issues such as computer data access needs, security violations, and programming changes; document computer security and emergency measures policies, procedures, and test; train users and promote security awareness to ensure system security and to improve server and network efficiency; coordinate implementation of computer system plan with establishment personnel and outside vendors; and monitor use of data files and regulate access to safeguard information in computer files.

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Mathematics, Physics, Software Engineering, or Computer Science.

Experience Requirements:

Position Description:
deciBel Research is seeking a Test Analyst for framework representations of MDA systems. Will perform on-console testing (from unit level software up to large scale scenarios) to determine if software changes work as designed. Will evaluate software performance for missile defense ground test and system performance functionality. Will perform analysis of test data for the purpose of assessing correct framework operation.

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Life Sciences, or Engineering.

Experience Requirements:
The successful candidate will possess at least 8 + years of experience in simulation testing in a DoD or aerospace environment. Experience evaluating data files to determine system performance. Experience working with developers and testers in a team environment. Experience with development of test plans at the software unit test level through system integration level, leading to testing at a formal level (FQT).  Experience with Linux operating system (RHEL 6.7), C++ and Java.

Special Skills Desired:
Prior experience in missile defense weapon system programs desired, such as: Targets & Countermeasures; UEWR, SBX/XBR, TPY-2, THAAD, Patriot, Aegis. Expertise in MDA ground tests; experience with modeling frameworks. Working knowledge of IBM rational suite development tools (Clearcase, Clearquest).

deciBel Research has an immediate opening for an experienced Mid-Level Radar Analyst in Huntsville, AL.

Position Description:
deciBel Research is seeking a Mid-level Radar Analyst in support of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) sensor testing for the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). Will analyze radar test data files collected during BMDS ground and flight tests. Data analysis will be performed as directed by the lead analyst in support of the Government customer. Analysis efforts are directed by a set of Test Objectives which are defined prior to each test and documented in a Test Objectives Memorandum (TOM). 

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Math, or equivalent.

Experience Requirements:
The successful candidate will possess at least five years of relevant technical knowledge of radars as well as expert-level knowledge of MATLAB and a working-level knowledge of Linux OS. Excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task are required. Experience with integration tools, scripting languages: Shell, Ruby/JRuby, Perl, Python and MS Office required. 

Special Skills Desired:
Familiarity with RHEL and TCP/IP. Prior experience with AN/TPY-2 and SBX radars is desirable.

BGI-1738: Senior M&S Analyst (Colorado Springs, CO)

deciBel Research has an immediate opening for an experienced Senior M&S Analyst in Colorado Springs, CO.

Position Description:
deciBel Research is seeking a Senior M&S Analyst to provide engineering support for the Modeling and Operations Software (MOS) Directorate Sensor Modeling Center (SMC) at Schriever AFB, CO. Will work with a team of engineers and analysts on the development and implementation of a suite of sensor models used for element and system level analysis, and verification and validation of models and simulations. Will work closely with systems engineers, software developers, and test engineers to provide algorithm analysis and data verification. Responsible for analyzing the performance behavior and making comparisons to tactical system behavior, for SMC’s two products - Open Systems Architecture Sensor Models (OSM) and Open Systems Architecture Signal Injector (OSI). Will be a key representative for interfacing with product stakeholders and customers to provide analysis and integration support. Will coordinate element and system-level performance parameters across multiple organizations within MDA and provide analysis and quick-turn support for multiple events including performance assessments, digital simulation events, system development, risk reduction, ground/flight tests and mission planning. Will support integration of the OSM and OSI with existing system simulation frameworks, performance models and algorithms, command and control models, and threat models. Will provide imaginative, thorough, and practicable technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems that are consistent with organization objectives. Will create presentations that describe and demonstrate advanced algorithms as implemented in OSM and OSI for a variety of audiences.  Will work in conjunction with the government customer to support sensor model VV&A, including confirming issues, determining impact, and providing a path forward.

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Mathematics, or related engineering discipline. Master's degree preferred.

Experience Requirements:
The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree and 25+ years of related experience or a Master’s degree in physics, mathematics, or related engineering discipline and 20 years of related experience. Must have a strong analytical background including Monte Carlo analysis and statistical regression.  Must have MATLAB fluency, including data visualization, scripting, and functional programming. Must have an ability to read C++ code. Must have knowledge of radar fundamentals, including signal processing, target acquisition, and target tracking. Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Special Skills Desired:
Familiarity with Linux and/or Unix-based development. Knowledge of domain specific radar principles, including signal processing, target acquisition, target tracking, resource management, discrimination, and battle manager interfaces. Software development experience using C++ or another Object-Oriented language.  Experience with using MySQL (or another SQL database) queries. Ability to read Ada code. Position Description:
deciBel Research is seeking a Software Developer for framework representations of Ballistic Missile Defense Systems (BMDS) in support of Missile Defense Agency (MDA). Will develop software to support modeling and simulation (M&S) of a large-scale system simulation framework. Experience Requirements:
The successful candidate must possess 12 + years of experience in model and simulation development using java computer language and Object Oriented Design or Agile development methods in a DoD or aerospace environment. Must have development experience in a Redhat/Linux environment (RHEL 5.11, 6.7, or similar). Must have working knowledge of IBM rational development tools (Rhapsody, Clearcase, Clearquest). Must also have experience in development of HMI and back-end planning configuration java software using Eclipse IDE, Rich Client Platform (RCP) and Eclipse Modeling Framework (EMF). Must have development experience with legacy frameworks, truth services, weapon systems or aeronautical systems.

Special Skills Desired:
Development experience with weapon systems, communication systems, and large-scale simulation frameworks. deciBel Research is seeking a Data Analyst to provide modeling and simulation analysis support in the form of evaluating M&S performance using Python and Matlab based analysis tools. The analyst will identify anomalies in the M&S results and perform root cause analysis to determine the source of the anomalies. Will work closely with the prime contractor's modeling and simulation technical team through an agile development process. Responsibilities include evaluating M&S performance, modifying and executing existing analysis tools, creating new analysis tools, and performing root cause analysis on data anomalies.
