Position Description:
deciBel Research is seeking a Software Developer for framework representations of Ballistic Missile Defense Systems (BMDS) in support of Missile Defense Agency (MDA). Will develop software to support modeling and simulation (M&S) of a large-scale system simulation framework. Will work with large-scale scenarios to determine if software changes work as designed at the system level. Will design, develop, unit test, and integration test of software components as part of a larger framework.

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Life Sciences, or Engineering.

Experience Requirements:
The successful candidate must possess 12 + years of experience in model and simulation development using java computer language and Object Oriented Design or Agile development methods in a DoD or aerospace environment. Must have development experience in a Redhat/Linux environment (RHEL 5.11, 6.7, or similar). Must have working knowledge of IBM rational development tools (Rhapsody, Clearcase, Clearquest). Must also have experience in development of HMI and back-end planning configuration java software using Eclipse IDE, Rich Client Platform (RCP) and Eclipse Modeling Framework (EMF). Must have development experience with legacy frameworks, truth services, weapon systems or aeronautical systems.

Special Skills Desired:

This assignment requires strong interface definition, architecture, and implementation experience with Distributed Data Service (DDS) middleware messaging protocol; and specific experience with PrismTech OpenSplice DDS distribution and productivity tools (OpenSplice Modeler, Tester, Tuner).  Additional knowledge is required in network architecture and programming (TCP, UDP), Linux operating system (RHEL 6.7, IPC mechanisms, multi-threading), and mapping wire spec interface specifications to middleware oriented interface patterns.

Special Skills Desired:
Development experience with weapon systems, communication systems, aerodynamics, guidance/navigation/control, sensor/seeker signal and data processing, environments modeling, and phenomenology modeling. Prior experience in missile defense weapon system programs desired, such as: Targets & Countermeasures; Ground-Based Missile Defense (GMD), Ground-based Interceptor (GBI), UEWR, SBX/XBR, TPY-2, THAAD, Patriot, Aegis. deciBel Research is seeking an experienced SAR Analyst that will research, develop, prototype, test, model, and evaluate new Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Advanced Geospatial Intelligence (AGI) capabilities. This will be in support of a variety of Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) customers at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. Position Description:

Will develop tools and scripts for the SW IVV team to use during static and/or dynamic analysis activities. Will execute dynamic analysis on software products provided by the IFPC Inc 2-I Product Office and will document findings for a dynamic analysis report. Will participate in software test document reviews and develop an independent set of software tests, as necessary. Will also be responsible for witnessing acceptance testing conducted by the prime developer. Will develop software IV&V plans, and analyze interfaces, data flows, exception handling, timing budgets, and memory allocations. Must be able to compare software to design and development requirements, and ensure all software requirements are qualified through test, analysis, demonstration or inspection (TADI). Must be able to assess software capability to meet specified design and performance requirements, experience in defining and creating a lab environment to use in the performance of the software IV&V activities, and experience in running static and dynamic software IV&V tools such as Understand 2.0, Klocworks, and Flawfinder.  Experience with the use of Wireshark or other network traffic analyzers a plus.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Math, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field with 1+ years of experience in a technical field.

Experience Requirements:
The successful candidate will possess at least one year of software development experience or an understanding of various programming languages (C, C++, JavaScript). At least one year of software IV&V experience preferred. Should also be able to assess software capability to meet specified design and performance requirements, and experience in developing software IV&V processes and procedures.
