Modeling, Simulation, & Analysis

deciBel Research is a premier small business backed by a dedicated team of subject matter experts in modeling, simulation, and analysis. We are at the forefront of the design and development of digital and hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) testing and evaluation tools, providing critical truth services and threat scene representations to stimulate entire defense architectures.
 
We have successfully matured and integrated advanced radar track, discrimination, classification/identification, imaging, counter-countermeasures, fusion, and resource management algorithms for the most complex radar systems in operation today. As a trusted prime contractor for the Missile Defense Agency, we specialize in delivering comprehensive lifecycle solutions for both element and system-level modeling and simulation.

Algorithm Development

deciBel Research has a rich history of developing algorithms to improve radar tracking, discrimination, debris mitigation, track accuracy, and target discrimination. deciBel Research has developed a set of high-fidelity, physics-based modeling and simulation tools. Our toolset provides data manipulation, modeling, simulation, and analysis capabilities for the specific purpose of constructing physics-based representations of threats, sensors, environments, and scenarios and computing the dynamic signatures expected from complex sensor missions and engagements. Our tools are extensively used within our customer base to process and generate large data sets for virtual or hardware in the loop testing. The tools also assist with the processing and analyzes of flight test data and post-flight reconstructions.
